Occupational Hygiene Consulting
RocMar Environmental has the knowledge, experience and qualifications to perform occupational/industrial hygiene assessments. Additionally, we have extensive experience conducting investigations and inspections to satisfy the Ministry of Labour requirements under Ontario Regulations 490/09 “Designated Substances” and Ontario Regulation 833/90 “Control of Exposure to Biological or Chemical Agents”, as amended.
These regulations specifically require that procedures for workplace monitoring and investigations for designated substances and other Ontario regulated biological or chemical agents are performed by person(s) with training and experience in industrial hygiene practice.
Our expertise spans many different occupational settings such as metalworking shops, welding shops, electroplating plants, anodizing plans, ceramic tile and stonework plants, metals recycling facilities, construction sites, hospitals, universities, printing facilities, data processing centers and computer rooms, among others. RocMar also uses third-party accredited laboratories for the analysis of all our samples. Our occupational hygiene services include, but are not limited to the following:
- Chemical exposure assessments for various contaminants, including designated substances, metals, acids, gases, vapours, particulates, organic and inorganic chemicals, etc.
- Workplace health and safety investigations, such as confined space assessments, hazard assessments, etc.
- Noise surveys and worker exposure assessments
